Youth Pheasant update 2013

posted Oct 26, 2013, 10:47 AM by LewisCounty SportsmensClub
Once again the youth pheasant hunt held at the Alan & David Brown farm was a great success. The two day event held on September 28th and 29th brought in around 50 youth. These youth were given the chance to actually go hunting with a parent or legal guardian into the field with a dog and his handler, to take a pheasant. All youth had to have a hunting license and go through instruction on gun safety by ECO Shanna Hutton. Also they got instruction with there groups, dog handlers on what will happen in the field and when and when not to shoot. The youth also shot a few rounds of trap to get the idea how the pheasant may go in flight in the field.
